I am addicted:

A) I am addicted to judge others

B) I am addicted being selfish

C) I am addicted to NOT being transparent

D) I am addicted to avoiding other people burdens

E) I am addicted to pleasing people

F) I am addicted to expecting forgiveness when I need it, but withholding it when someone else needs it.

2 Corinthians 5:14-18

The church is place where:

1.) We learn and are reminded to be controlled by the love of Christ (v.14)

2.) We learn and are reminded to no longer live for ourselves (v.15)

3.) We learn and are reminded to stop judging people by the outside (v.16)

4.) We learn and are reminded that we are a new creation (v.17)

5.) We learn and are reminded that we are reconciled to God (v.18)

6.) We learn and are reminded about the reality of grace (v. 18)

2 Timothy 3:16-17

WHY THE BIBLE

1.) Because it is written by God

the Bible is the only book that claims to be the actual words of God. (out of any religion)

The Bible was written over a 1600 year period by approximately 40 men. The time of the writing was from 1500 BC to AD 100.

There were several secular historians who wrote about the events of the New Testament at the same time the Bible was being written. Josephus is the most well-known of them. He was a Jewish historian. Tacitus was a Roman historian who would have no benefit from not telling the truth. Both these men, as well as others, can be used to back up the historical accuracy of the Bible.

2.) Because it guides me in every area of my life

3.) Because it is full of freeing truth

to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right.
