When we look to the world to help us find hope and purpose, we will be disappointed. When we look to the world for help, we rob ourselves of God’s hope. No matter what your background or your history, God is faithful to those who choose to be faithful to him.

To overcome temptation we need to submit ourselves to God and resist the devil. We must recognize sin and flee from it to keep from saying "Oops I did it again."

We often spend so much time thinking about "one day" that we miss today, and we can get so focused on what we don't have that we miss what we do have. When we come to Jesus, it's fine to come asking what He can do for you. But, eventually, you have to move to asking what He can do through you.

What does it mean to be a child of God? When you look at your reflection, do you see God? Or, do you see the sum of all the things you do? When you're a child of God, your purpose is to know God and to make Him known.

We are often told to follow our hearts. However, our feelings might be real, but they aren't always reliable. Because of this, our emotions should be like gauges and not guides. We can truly find peace not by following our hearts but by following God's heart.

The decisions you make today will determine the stories you make tomorrow. Sometimes, though, the best decision is to go when it would be easier to stay. In the biblical story of Abraham, it would have been easy for him to stay in his homeland, but God told him to go. Like Abraham, we must step toward our destiny. But, to do go somewhere takes leaving somewhere.

If you aren't going in the right direction, there's no way you'll end up in the right direction. The story of Cain and Abel gives us five questions to determine our spiritual direction. Are you walking closer to God or wandering away from God?

It doesn't take much looking around to figure out that our world is broken. There's many things that we run to looking for hope, but there is only one thing that can truly provide the hope we are missing. God promised us that we can trust him.

God has a perfect plan and purpose for our lives, but we mess it up by trying to create our own purpose. No one will ever ask you to complete your top priorities.They will only ask you to complete theirs.We have to stay within the purpose of our creator to truly be truly fulfilled.

God SPOKE and the universe sprung to life. And, even though life can often be confusing and frustrating, the same God that spoke the world into existence is the same God that wants to speak into your life. Because of this, we can choose to trust that God is moving even when we don't know what He is doing.
