Specifically, The Boys in the Band (2020), which shares source material with a production close to his heart. Myte gets into a classic film by Ang Lee, Brokeback Mountain (2004).

Back in the olden, repressed gay days for Myte and FriedPapita, they watched dozens upon dozens of straight shows in order to gather a few gay crumbs, or ships. This episode is honoring the ones that changed the game for us before queer characters started coming a dime a dozen. Featuring: Person of Interest, The OC, The Good Wife, House M.D., Orphan Black, and Rookie Blue.

We're back! After a long needed break, we had a lot to catch up on and it turns out that Netflix delivered. Perhaps not what we ordered, but we consumed nonetheless. Listen to our discussions about I Am Not Okay With This, Get Even, Feel Good, and Teenage Bounty Hunters. We also get into some recent events, the good and the tragic, as well as Cobra Kai?

We're airing an episode of the wonderful Queer & Catholic podcast Tabard Inn, where we talk about queerness in many aspects with Pat and Jacob Flores!
...
In this special episode, husbands Pat and Jacob sat down over Christmas Myte and Syntia, the hosts of the the Queer, Latinx podcast Cabronas y Chingonas. It was an awesome conversation - their podcast tackles representation in the media, especially from a queer latinx perspective.

After a lengthy conversation on our health and diet, we discuss Netflix originals I'm No Longer Here (2019) and The Baby-Sitter's Club, two great additions to the streaming world, providing representation in their own subtle ways.

This episode is all about representation within the representation! In the Netflix original Hollywood we find Ryan Murphy has given the people a fantasy with a bit of realness, but it's not without its problems. Speaking of problems, Netflix's Disclosure (2020) is all about the representation of trans people on screen since the beginning of...the screen. We also discuss how we've been getting through and what we're watching.

We return from our brief hiatus to talk about the joy we found in Skate Kitchen (2018) and Betty on HBO! We also get into other media we've been consuming such as 13th, We're Here, Homecoming, and more.

Keep educating yourselves and fighting the good fight!

I hope you've all seen the latest queer lady romcom on Netflix, The Half of It (2020) by Alice Wu, because we have a lot of feelings and opinions about it on this episode. We look back at what makes Alice Wu's first film, Saving Face (2005) so special and also get into our quick thoughts on Little Fires Everywhere on Hulu.

This week's episode about the series Hunters and the film Selah and the Spades (2020), both Amazon Prime originals. We discuss what made each of these stand out from the typical (often white) content we see. Myte also briefly discusses her issue with the new Netflix original, Never Have I ever.
