Cabronas y Chingonas

We are joined by Babelito to talk about Pedro Almodóvar, a queer, Spanish director who has been shocking people for decades with experimental, sentimental, and consequential films. We discuss the recurring themes and plots in films like Pepi, Luci, Bom and Kika. The subtle political themes that seeped through in All About My Mother and the beauty in Volver. The huge change that occurred in his storytelling at the turn of the century with The Skin I Live In, Julieta, and Pain and Glory.

We also discuss how his films affected Babelito on a personal level and our hopes for a post-COVID world.
