Today we look at the importance of Spiritual Growth. Just like studying for an exam is vital for us doing well when the test comes, so it is in our Spiritual lives.

In this life while on this earth, we will constantly be surrounded by events and circumstances that bring fear and uncertainty. It has been this way since creation. God has provided instruction for us on how to deal with these things and will be faithful to His promises that it will turn out all right.

How would you complete this phrase: "Heaven is..."? The Bible gives us a glimpse at heaven in a few places. Heaven is...where God is. Heaven is...the Christian's future home. Our Podcast will explore those and other details.

There are many factors that make it abundantly clear that God supplies our needs. First is the fact that He is the almighty creator. There is nothing that He cannot do. Second is the reality that He loves us as His children. His everlasting love as our heavenly Father is the “why” of meeting our needs and providing us with an abundant life.

It is extremely valuable for us to live like Jesus. To reflect his lifestyle, to walk as He walked, to walk in the light as He is in the light and to talk like He talked. And Jesus wasn’t just a ‘historic figure’, he was and is very real. He set an example for us.

The imaginations of this world are constantly coming out with heroes of all types. There is competition to see which one can be more powerful than the next or have the most awesome special abilities. Indeed, we have come a long way from the days of “Superman” comic books. Are you in an uncomfortable spot today? Do you need a hero? Then look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

Our tongue is small but is extremely powerful. God made us and has given us the power of the tongue. He gives us very clear instructions about its use and His spirit helps us to control it.

Just imagine a world without the wisdom and knowledge of people that are older than you. All of us have friends, family and acquaintances that are elderly. And some of us are in that category. Praise and thank God almighty for those who have lived longer than we have. It would not be wise to ignore the huge ‘data base’ that we all have access to.

What does the term “Holiness” mean to you? For me it brings to mind the concept of a vessel that has been purified, dedicated for service to God. As you walk through this life today, remember that holiness is ONLY available through an infinitely holy God. Remember that your body is a temple of the living God. Keep your vessel clean and available for God to flow through it, blessing others.
