Donovan Mitchell led the Utah Jazz with 35 points in a close win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, but the real hero was Rudy Gobert. Gobert dominated the game defensively, showing why he is the best defensive center in the league, while also grabbing 20 boards. Hassan Whiteside did not play due to injury.

The Utah Jazz have found their offense over their last few games, but is it enough for them to bring home the title to Salt Lake City?

This was a big win for the Jazz in a lot of different ways. First off the Jazz have been underperforming the past few games and this was a good win against a talented Blazers team. Secondly, the Jazz cleaned up their turnover issues and only turned the ball over five times compared to their average of 14.8. And lastly, a lot of players performed really well including Donovan Mitchell who scored 30 points on 12-20 shooting. The Utah Jazz lost on a buzzer-beater three against the New Orleans Pelicans. They'll have a chance to face the Pelicans again tomorrow night.

The Utah Jazz avoided dropping back-to-back games with a close win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Hassan Whiteside was ejected in the first quarter after racking up two quick technical fouls for arguing with an official. Because of this, Rudy Gobert played 39 minutes, 8 minutes over his season average. In that time he put up 15 points, snagged 17 rebounds, and rejected 5 shots. His defense of the paint was key in the Jazz victory.
Donovan Mitchell struggled for the majority of the game but came in clutch in the final two minutes scoring 6 points to extend the lead and lock up the Jazz win.
The Jazz are back on the court this Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Utah Jazz had a nice 4th quarter to turn this game into a blowout. And don't freak out that Rudy Gay only had 3 points. He made his impact and the Jazz don't need him to drop 20 every night to win games. The Jazz are likely building the beginnings of a winning streak so stay tuned.
Rudy Gay had a great first game back and we think he may be able to be the missing piece to help the Jazz break into the Western Conference Finals. Don't expect Rudy Gay to play this well every game, but he definitely resolved any doubts that people had in this first game. The trouble moving forward will be not confusing Rudy Gay and Rudy Gobert. We also look forward to the Suns vs Warriors games coming up and talk about what we think about the winning streak the Suns are on.

This game had blowout written all over it from the first quarter. The 76ers were without Embiid and Simmons again this game and no one stepped up to even challenge the Utah Jazz. This is a great blowout win for the Jazz and could set up a nice winning streak for the Jazz since their next several games should be relatively easy wins for a talented Jazz roster.
Also, I forgot to mention that this was Niang's return to Utah and he had an okay game but it was fun to see him again.

The Utah Jazz continued their slide Saturday with a 111-105 loss to the Miami Heat in Salt Lake City. Similar to their matchup last week, the game was not nearly as close as it appeared. The Jazz were down by as many as 27 points in the second half and mounted a comeback during a lackluster fourth quarter for the Heat, but ran out of time.
Utah will look to improve their three-point shooting and bounce back this week but will have to play to solid eastern conference foes, the Philadelphia 76ers, and the Toronto Raptors.

The NBA is looking a lot different so far this season. Multiple Superstars are getting off to a slow start and the Wizards are the best team in the East (record-wise). We have also seen several fights on the court along with fewer fouls and free throws. Now granted this increased physicality can be entertaining in the moment, but is it good for the NBA in the long term? Will it lead to worse injuries and will the players union step in if it continues?
What are your thoughts about the physicality so far this season?
