Calling the Dawgs

The Volunteers walked into Sanford Stadium thinking they had a chance. I think we left no doubt who the real contenders were last Saturday. It was the quintessential college football Saturday in Athens. The score doesn't do that performance justice. The Dawgs DOMINATED the "# 1 team in the nation". We've got Mississippi State this weekend. Win and we clinch a spot in Atlanta the 1st weekend in December.

Well, the committee did it. They knocked the Dawgs down to #3 and put Tennessee at #1. And we aren't mad about that one bit. The Vols' confidence is at an all-time high. The media is in love with them. They have been the talk of the college football world since they took down Alabama in Knoxville. Poor ol' Georgia just doesn't stand a chance!

It'd be a shame if someone crushed their hopes and dreams right after they were anointed the 'Top Team in the Land'.....

No quarter.

We have arrived at the week of hate once again. If you find yourselves getting complacent about this rivalry after our recent success, go to youtube and look up highlights from when Florida was actually relevant in this game. '08 and '09 should suffice. Feed your hatred.

We couldn't work out a time to get together last week before the Vandy game. We figured we'd make up for lost ground during the bye week. As most of you are aware, the Tennessee game is looming large after this past weekend. Let them get a big head. We'll be ready come November. But we'll get to that in a few weeks. For now, we'll dive into what we saw against Auburn and Vandy.

Another sloppy game. We probably should have lost that one. But we overcame our worst 1st half of football this whole year to squeak by a motivated Missouri team in Columbia. It's behind us. We've got Auburn this weekend. At home. Thank you, Lord. We needed a legitimate home game. Kickoff is at 3:30 and the weather couldn't be anymore perfect. Going to be a good day!
