A "critically urgent" call is being made for a major overhaul of the mental health service for children and young people in this country.
The call is coming from the College of Psychiatrists of Ireland, which is seeking "major reform of the management and governance of CAMHS".
CAMHS - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services - provides assessment and treatment for young people up to the age of 18 who are experiencing mental health difficulties The College of Psychiatrists of Ireland has published a policy document outlining changes it wants to see.
