Nostalgia plagues us all. It's probably not appropriate to use the word plague right now.

Throwing It Back is a podcast where I, your host Cole Thomas, discuss movies, tv, and pop culture & new from years past that has either significance with me, someone I'm talking to, or humanity as a whole. Join me every Throwback Thursday for new episodes wherever you listen to your podcast.

Deal with more technical glitches and talk about the Black Lives Matter has a bigger resurgence with a lot of things that still need to change but it appears that this time around white people is listening much more. Is it because of the pandemic? Trump? Or a combination of many things? Well, listen to me stumble around my words as our zoom call glitches.

Leave me a voicemail/message at CalmDownCole.com or [email protected]
In this episode, I catch up with my good friend from college who currently lives in Los Angeles, Alyssa Goldpenny! One of my best friends and honestly one of the most creative and compassionate people I know. We met each other at a time in our lives where we both were discovering ourselves and have only really spent two years physically together but during those years before she left New York for Los Angeles, we were inseparable. I am so happy to hear that she is doing well and has a girlfriend who is wonderful and glorious. I hope you enjoy our conversation. www.CALMDOWNCOLE.com @CalmDownCole

Leave me a voicemail/message at CalmDownCole.com or [email protected]
Oh my god, I am so grateful to have my best friend Ashley record this conversation a second time with me and still bearing with me while I get a hold on how to podcast over zoom. She's the first-grade teacher and we talked about how the transition was for her to start working online and what her world has been like since the quarantine lockdown. I also talk about my struggles with getting a grasp on this podcast as well as managing my own stress working from home. We also discussed some memories of how we met and I am so happy to hear that she's doing. You can find out where to listen to me at www.CalmDownCole.com

  • Tunesday #1: I am so Sorry for What you Are About to Hear also 2014 was a good year for music!!

Hello. Hi. How are you? This is awkward because this is not how I thought this episode would turn out but it did AND it was late so were all just going forget like this first episode ever happened. LOL JK. but I do sound crazy. And 2013/2014 was a WONDERFUL year in music. I was going into/already in college and there was a lot of transitioning going on in both my life and in the music industry and I'm noticing a lot of parallels to then and now. So I reflect on them here. In auditory fashion.

We also talk about how we met and the student film we co-directed Sophomore year of college at Hofstra University and what college must be like for students now and what the world will look like after all of this.
