We sometimes wonder why so many who say they have been filled with the Holy Ghost seem to be weak spiritually. Why do so many have a hard time letting go of those things that can harm them spiritually? What is the disconnect?

We have this great salvation that was offered to us through the blood of Calvary. Not that we are walking in newness of life, we find that life is not always going our way but it is now being directed by the one who saved us. He is the one to whom we submitted our life at an altar of repentance and in the waters of baptism in the name of Jesus. As a result, He has made us to be a vessel for His purpose and in His kingdom. We just have to realize and remember that, although our world may seem to be topsy-turvy, the One that we allowed to take control in our lives is accomplishing all things in us and through us and for our good.

The Lord told Moses to inform the children of Israel that every offering, gift, and sacrifice was to be seasoned with salt. Salt served as a covenant between God and man. Some of the things that salt was used for was a preservative, an enhancer, and a healer of waters. Jesus said that we are to be salt in the earth and to always have salt within ourselves. We are to be all these things in our world today.

In it, Jesus gives us a more complete revelation of Himself and God than any other of the gospels. John’s main purpose of this book is to inspire faith in Jesus Christ, and to also show us how to overcome the world.
