How can someone who has seen so many definite acts of God turn from Him to serve idols in such a short period of time-

There are some people in history whose lives stand out as being the right person with the right abilities at the right time.--Moses, David, Esther, Daniel, and several others in the OT Scriptures fit that description. Of course, our Lord Jesus was the most pivotal person ever to walk the earth. The one man He chose to have the greatest influence in advance of His Gospel in this age was the Apostle Paul.

The greatest fact in human is the incarnation of Jesus Christ. His incarnation, teachings, miracles, death, resurrection, ascension, and promise of coming again are central to the fate of the human race. Every person who has ever lived will be judged by his or her response to this fact. Luke, the inspired historian records the events what have shaped our existence since our Lord's ascension. The first was Pentecost which ushered in the dispensation of the church age. The second was the conversion of the Apostle Paul who has had the single most influence on that dispensation.--In Paul's conversion, we see God's handiwork in our conversion, and our responsibility to his respond to His work.

Psalm 66 is a psalm in praise of God's power in nature. This psalm is a psalm in praise of God's power in delivering His people. We are not certain as to the occasion of this psalm. Many believe Hezekiah composed it after Israel was delivered from the Assyrian siege of Jerusalem. Whatever the occasion, it is a psalm calling the world to praise the God of all creation.
