The Pharisees had their own brand of righteousness. Our righteousness is like filthy rags, so we have our own as well. We might be made the righteousness of God. Jesus was made flesh and dwelt among us, so that we might be made the righteousness of Him. We're not what we're going to be but praise God we're not what we used to be. Live for the audience of one. As long as you're pleasing the savior, you don't need to please anyone else.

Sign gifts: Given by God, to the apostles, to show that the apostles were the leading authority over the New Testament Church. God started His work with the family. Then directly to man. He who knew no sin, became sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God, for Him. He took my sins and my sorrows and made them His very own. He suffered and died for us. Jesus knew His death was the only for us to be cleansed from our sin. He chose to let them kill Him. He was mock, spat upon, made to wear a crown of thorns. He was beaten with a whip with shards of glass in it to tear His skin. When His robe stuck to His wounds, they ripped off the robe, causing the blood to run once more. He was forced to carry His own cross ... the cross that should have been for us. Jesus couldn't carry it, for He was weak, so they had another man carry it for Him. Our sins caused Jesus, while hanging on the cross, caused Jesus to experience the worst part of hell; being absent from the Heavenly Father. There is no other way to salvation. It is only through Jesus Christ.

Jesus gave His life for the sin of the whole world ... sadly, some do not accept that gift and go to hell. The Jews brought Jesus to Pilate because they were not allowed to kill a man and wanted him to do it for them. Pilate said repeatedly that he found no fault with Jesus. He asked if they wanted to let him go as it was the time where he would release a prisoner. They did not, they asked for Barabbas to be released, he was a robber. Just because someone is seeking after God, doesn't make them a Christian. If they have not come to that place where they repent. The devil is fighting against us Christians, to prevent us from sewing the seed.

We are sinners by choice and habit yet God loves us enough that He sent His son to die for us on the cross. Finally, Jesus said from the cross, "It is finished." and He bowed His head, and gave up the ghost. We cannot provide for our own salvation, we cannot justify ourselves. We need Jesus to fight this battle for us. We are desperately dependent on Jesus to pay the debt for us. It is by His mercy that He saves us. If we were the only person on earth that had sinner, Christ would still have come down and died for us.
