Not too happy of an ending to this history of King David. He, by his own volition, not God's choice obviously, wanted to number or just see how big and powerful his kingdom was. This was sin because God did not want him to do this-period.

David, stubbornly goes through with this stubborn sin of his and the consequences followed. There was repentance before it all came down in judgement, and the mercy of God as well as the grace of God is seen, but how this could have been avoided.

The Scripture tells it like it was and like it is today. God is a Holy God and a Just God. Having a relationship to this Holy God does not exempt us from a obedient walk with Him.

Loyalty. Semper Fi. Military terms. These values are not being implemented today in the lives of many believers. Jesus said our lives are not our own when we become one of His. As the old song says: “Turn your eyes upon Jesus….and the things of this earth grow strangely dim in the light of His Glory and Grace. Never, never, never give up. Jesus will carry you because the battle belongs to the Lord…………God has called us to be people of VALOR.

Shepherd, Warrior, Worshipper and Anointed King of Israel…. This person David, chosen by God to lead Israel. A gifted man who depended on God to give strength when needed, to give wisdom when needed, to give courage when needed, and for his same God to show him favor in all of life.

This chapter of 2 Samuel quoted the very last words of this incredible hero of Israel from thousands of years ago. In this small chapter he very poetically gives all the glory to God for his entire life, then prophetically describes the Kingdom of the Messiah, Jesus Christ which, by the way, is REALLY coming very soon.

We, who are saved, serve the same God.

Pastor Steve Price begins this new year with a message on giving.

Giving of ourselves is not just about the money we give-or feel we have to give-it's the MOTIVE behind our giving of ourselves or our money.

When we are lined up with God in this area of our lives we do become a real winner.

As was said: “We have opportunity each time the plate is passed each Sunday to give away a part of us that is selfish….”.

Let's be doers and not hearers only of the Word.

Sort of a rough start in a new marriage.

Good true story.

Pastor Steve Price uses the marriage of Joseph and Mary as an example of walking with God through all life throws at every single family today. The time and circumstance in which Mary and Joseph lived was extremely difficult. To anyone who has read of this true story, these two very young people walked with God by faith. As said in the movie, Forest Gump: “Life is a box of chocolates. You never know what you're going to get.” We never know what we're going to get. That's exactly why it's “Walking by Faith”. As Pastor Steve shows in this life, as in the life of the family of Joseph and Mary, we do have a God to carry us, and then always leads us to victory…no matter what the trial.
