Again this week, reinforcing the same topic as Pastor Steve spoke on last week about King David's sin of disobedience in the raising of Absalom, Pastor Tim Thompson speaks on from Deuteronomy 13.

King David, a man whose past integrity affected the present situation seen in this tragic story in 2 Samuel. He found God honoring and protecting him and his people because "whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap", but on the other side of this coin of character we see David's disobedience to God and His Law in the raising of his son and discipline of his son resulting in terrible consequences.

A very convicting story for us dads and men.

1 Kings 18:21"And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him." We are told by Jesus that we are to be Salt and Light to this world. Listen as Pastor Steve Price preaches the facts for us Christians to heed to in the upcoming election. At the end of this message, Pastor Steve Price shares a story of a close family that him and his wife have known for over twenty years. Cancer has now afflicted this family-a mother of three. The rug appears to have been pulled out.

The wonderful news is that this same family all know the Lord and they know God is Lord and He will strengthen and guide in this trial.

In this passage of 2 Samuel, one thing after another goes down in King David's life.

David does not quit-does not run-King David remains true to His God at this time.

Things are just falling apart with David's own son wanting to take over the Kingdom. This tragedy tears apart this kingdom and family. Listen to how David handles this-How God guides him and gives him wisdom when it was needed most. This horrible circumstance-and lived-out in David-all recorded for us to see how God tests His own and always ALWAYS directs our steps while we are in the shadow of despair. HE IS FAITHFUL.
