As in the personal life of King David-so are we accountable to the Lord in our behavior towards others-especially in the immediate family as the husband to the wife or vice versa. Reconciliation works.

As was prophesized by Nathan the Prophet and promised by God earlier in David's career as King of Israel, the very specifics of those statements became reality in the evidence of things out of control, of evil having its way.

But His Grace always carries us through it all. This mercy and grace of God gives us what we don't deserve and protects us from what we do deserve.
