This night of worship starts off our new Wednesday night teaching series on the Book of Psalms.
Continuing in our study of the Book of Acts, Pastor Billy Venezia led us through a birthday celebration, as Act 2 tells the story of the birth of the Church. We saw that the coming of the Holy Spirit turned regular “nobodies” into powerful proclaimers of the gospel, and what can happen when the church comes together.
Watch special guests Alan and Leana Platt, along with a panel of Calvary pastors and their wives talk about intimacy, sex, friendship, and communication in marriage. Learn how to nurture your friendship with your spouse as you meet one another's needs and grow in your understanding of God's perspective of intimacy.
We have a mission to go out into the world and be a witness for Christ—and it's not because we're qualified or perfect for the job. In this message, Pastor Fidel Gomez talks about what it means to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. By faith, we ask God to receive it, and He gives us the dynamic ability to do that which we could never imagine doing in our own strength. So, who is in your sphere of influence that can you share the love of God with today?
This weekend, we launched our new teaching series in the Book of Acts as Pastor Chet introduced us to the early days of the Church. We know that as Jesus came to earth to light a fire, His intent was to give us His Spirit, so that we too could spread the fire of the gospel across the world. Christ was crucified, died, and rose again so that we can experience the baptism of His Holy Spirit—the fire from above.
As a follow up to last weekend's teaching from our new series on relationships titled "Interconnected," a panel discussion led by Pastor Doug Sauder answers questions submitted by the audience on the topics of relationships and belonging.
In this fourth and final message in the “Interconnected” series on relationships, Pastor Doug Sauder describes God's plan to fix broken relationships. Genesis 3 tells the story of how sin caused the first broken relationship. When we sin, our natural tendency is to hide and blame others, but through confession and repentance, God brings forgiveness and restored relationships.
Ken Graves, the founding pastor of Calvary Chapel Bangor, Maine, challenges parents to recognize their God-given power and duty as described in Proverbs 23, which is to impart identity, to influence by instruction, and to initiate independence.
God is the originator of relationships, and He's put us in relationships so we can flourish and fulfill our purpose. In this third part of our “Interconnected” series, guest speaker Alan Platt shares that once you've established your identity in God, you'll be ready to engage in your true purpose—to affect and make a difference in the world.
