Continuing our month-long "Interconnected" series on relationships, this week we studied the fundamental human need for belonging. Drawing from Genesis 2:18-25, Pastor Doug taught that we, as God's image-bearers, were created to engage in deep relationships-primarily within the family model.
As a follow up to last weekend's teaching from our new series on relationships titled "Interconnected," a panel discussion led by Pastor Doug Sauder answers questions submitted by the audience on the topics of relationships and the image of God.
In this universe, mankind is unique in that we are the only beings in creation that bear the image of our Creator, and our identity is undeniably connected. This weekend, Pastor Doug taught about identity, showing that when we see the image of God in others, it changes our relationships with those around us.
New Year's Eve is a time where many reflect and take stock of where they are in life. In this special New Year's Eve message, Pastor Fidel Gomez shares an encouraging word from Judges 3, teaching how we're all part of God's plan, a piece of the puzzle in the work He's doing.
Paul the Apostle knew that the end of his life was near as he wrote his second letter to Timothy. Pastor Fidel Gomez uses Paul's words in 2 Timothy 4:5-8 as a framework to remind us that living for Christ is a lifelong challenge, but persevering to the end is worth every hardship we might have to endure.
In this special Christmas Eve message, Pastor Doug Sauder shows us how the wise men didn't worship Jesus because of what He did or could do for them. They worshipped Him for who He is.
Jesus came into this world as a king in disguise—a baby born in the most humble circumstances. Pastor Doug Sauder describes how God revealed a glimpse of His glory in very different ways. The shepherds never expected God would come to them, yet they were the first to hear the announcement of Jesus' birth. The angels knew Jesus in all of His power and majesty, yet they saw Him lay it all aside to show His love for people.
This service is our 2014 Christmas Celebration where we celebrate that our King has come!
Anticipation is a natural emotion that causes us to look ahead with hopeful expectation. This past weekend, Pastor Doug Sauder kicked off our Christmas series, “The King Has Come,” by exploring the promises God made David, and showing us that even when we face deep disappointment, we need to press closer to God and trust in His promises and His faithfulness to fulfill them.
Have you ever felt like God was mad at you or you didn't deserve anymore grace? In this message, guest speaker Pastor Brian Brodersen from Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa shatters the lies we might believe about God's character with truth from His Word. God looks upon us with a smile, is gracious and attentive, and desires to bless and bring us peace.
