We picked up where we left off in Matthew 5:33, taking those next two sections of the Sermon on the Mount. I call it the "Do Not's." Jesus says, "do not swear an oath" and then "do not resist one who is evil." We looked at oaths, vows, swearing, and then retaliation, turning the other cheek, giving, and being inconvenienced. My hope was to give a complete picture of what Jesus is saying, looking at the example of our Heavenly Father, Jesus himself, and even the Apostle Paul.
