As vital as the operation of spiritual gifts are in the church, Paul makes clear the motivation of their operation is just as vital. Without the proper motivation of love driving the exercise of the gifts, Paul declares that the eternal significance of the gifts is empty.

If we simply believe in God’s promise of a Savior by faith like Abraham, apart from any consideration of the Biblical Law which was not even yet given….We too will be “accounted righteous” as children of God and inherit the Kingdom of God forever.
