Because David had so honored God in his life and served him, God blessed not only him, but his descendants as well. And as Pastor Mark points out in today's study, we as believers may be the beneficiaries of our ancestor's faithfulness before us. There may have been those in our heritage who were faithful in their service to God to the point that like David, God is now blessing us because of them. Have you ever thought of praying for your descendants even though they've not yet been born and you'll never know them in this life? It is yet another opportunity we may never have thought of, to be a blessing to our families for generations to come.
