The Christian life is like a race. We're all running toward the goal of Christlikeness. However, certain obstacles in this life threaten our walk with God. Galatians 5:7-15 warns us about two sins that endanger the church and our walk with Christ.

Rules can't make you good with God. Rules won't make you grow in Christ. Salvation and sanctification are by grace alone. In Galatians 4:8-20, Paul explains the difference between following the law and trusting the grace of God.

Salvation and Sanctification are not accomplished by rules or the Law, but through the power of the Spirit of God. Paul reveals this to us and the Galatians through the example of the Holy Spirit and Abraham.
