In another episode of the Cameron-Brooks podcast, we interview Chip Autry, a Demand Planner at GSK. Chip is a former Army Officer who made the transition to business in 2012. Since then, he also earned his MBA at NYU Stern School of Business.

Chip does a great job explaining what a Demand Planner does and how important the role is to a consumer products company. He also offers advice on those thinking about making a military to business transition.

Josh Buchanan is a former Army Infantry officer who made the transition from military to business in 2010.  Josh started his business career with the Reynolds Group in Jacksonville, IL and earned his MBA while working with Reynolds.  He was selected to be a part of a CEO focus group, and due to that opportunity, he was promoted to a Business Development role in Charlotte, NC.

He does a great job of explaining the importance of job satisfaction in a manufacturing career.  He also talks about being patient in your career and remembering that it’s not so much where you start, but the track record you develop that creates opportunities in the future.

Matt Burch is an Interventional Sales Consultant with Medtronic Spinal and Biologics.  He is also a former Army Infantry Officer who deployed multiple times and commanded a line Infantry company.

Matt made his transition from the military to business in 2012 through the Cameron-Brooks program.  In this episode, Matt shares how he used his knowledge of developing operations orders to help him turn around his sales territory.  He also dispels many myths of a sales career.
