Camp Cast

On this spirited episode of the Camp Cast we have Senior Cabin stars Andrew Morris, Drake Elman and Ryan Mahoney on to talk about a rowdy Song & Cheer night, give us a KOC and TLL update, and much more. Enjoy!

On this episode of the podcast we have Cabin 13 members Josh Schreier, Mason Seiffer, and Alec Schwartz. We talk about an awesome day at camp, but the highlight of this pod was when they accidentally told on themselves for violating a camp rule live on air...it's great content. Enjoy!

Today was a day of firsts at camp! We had our first full day, first set of Big Ten instructional activities, first King of the Camp events, first Twilight League games, and our first set of brothers on the podcast. Tonight we have Max and Noah Rothbart helping us recap an amazing day at camp!

IT'S THE FIRST DAY OF CAMP!! Hi everybody and welcome to the Camp Cast. Camp Owner/Director Jason Feldgreber tries to record a podcast as much as possible during the summer. He will have on campers, counselors, and support staff to recap the day and share all the awesomeness of camp. We are so excited to be back with our camper and summer specific episodes. On this episode, Jason is joined, as is tradition, by the CITs (Max Agins, Josh Namordi, Tyler Field, Eli Flaum and Director Ryan Hume). They talk about a great first day at camp, shout some people out, and share some advice for first year campers. Enjoy!

Happy Fantasy Camp everybody! On todays episode we have long time campers, counselors, Fantasy campers, Post campers, and a couple Nate winners from the Senior Cabin of 2000! This pod was amazing, hilarious, full of phenomenal stories, and much more. Hope you enjoy it on your drive up to the Friendly Confines this weekend. Here's my chat w/ Matt, Matt, Loren, and Jon.

Welcome back to the second installment of our 4-part series of podcasts and video recordings we are calling the “International Staff Experience”. In this series we will be interviewing and talking to international staff, who were never Menominee campers, that decided to return to camp on staff for multiple summers. Our goal is help our first-year international staff hear and see things from the perspective of people who were in their shoes not long ago. We explore the nerves of coming to camp for the first time on staff, how long it took to really connect to camp, what some of the highest and lowest moments are for a new international staff member, and much, much more! On this episode Jeff chats with Aranza Pastrana (8th year from Mexico) and Gavin Pritchard (3rd year from Scotland). We hope these are both fun and bring a unique perspective to camp. For new staff we hope you get a better sense of what your potential connection to camp can be this summer, and for the rest of our community, we really hope you get to know some of our truly important staff members that you may not get a chance to otherwise. Enjoy!

On this VERY special episode of the Camp Cast we are launching our new 4-part series of podcasts and video recordings we are calling the “International Staff Experience”. On this episode Jason chats with Beth Potts and Alice Matthews, both returning for their second summer's from England. We hope these are both fun and bring a unique perspective to camp. For new staff we hope you get a better sense of what your potential connection to camp can be this summer, and for the rest of our community, we really hope you get to know some of our truly important staff members that you may not get a chance to otherwise. Enjoy!

Today we have a really fun episode for you as Jason is joined by cousins Brett Weiss and Isaac Weiss. Between the two of them they have quite the resume at camp that spans camper, CIT, Counselor, Leadership roles, Resort Staff, Office Manager, Decade Club, and much more. We sat down in Scottsdale and had a great conversation about all things camp. They had some amazing stories to share, some special shout outs, we of course talked about their age group the "Doi Bois", and, naturally, some grudges were grudged. They also for sure had the best “back in my day” segment we have ever had on this podcast. Enjoy!

On this VERY special episode of the podcast we are lucky enough to sit down in person with the namesake of the Twilight League Championship Trophy, Steve Ehrlich. Steve has been coming to camp every year in some capacity since 1959, helped start the Nate Wasserman Camp Fund, and has been the commissioner of Fantasy Camp since its origin. Steve is now the heartbeat of our alumni network. We talk about how camp changed and evolved over the decades, what Nate Wasserman was like, stories about camp legends Al Lewis, Bob Bender, Koz, and Jim "Buzz" Wyeth, where a lot of our traditions, sayings, games, and songs come from, the first ever Kawaga competition, the Meat Man and much more. After the 90 minutes were over we both shared how much we didn't even touch on…but this is a great start!

On this episode of the camp cast we are lucky enough to be joined former campers, current Father/Son campers, and current camp dads Logan and Harley Rosenthal. The guys came prepared with old megaphones, pictures, and great stories from their time at camp. Enjoy!
