  • Endometrial Cancer Survivor : Prakshi Saraswat : Cancer Survivor Stories
Prakshi was diagnosed with Endometrial cancer in November 2020, before her 30th birthday. She had a history of heavy bleeding, often brushed off as usual and nothing worrisome. Her symptoms worsened during the lockdown. On further investigation, it was diagnosed as stage IA Endometrial Cancer. A radical hysterectomy and bilateral oophorectomy were performed. This surgery put her into medical menopause. She felt cheated and was now a part of the 'Why me?' circle. But you don't have many convincing answers with things like cancer. It just happens. And the acceptance comes gradually.
She likes to say that don't ever think of yourselves as any less to all my fellow cancer warriors. Your illness does not and should not define you. It should only empower you. We all are more robust than we think, and we are here to bloom. We got this!
