He started experiencing abdominal pain in early October 2020, so he went for a scan. The reports confirmed that there was a lump that had to be removed. Later he suffered from pancreatitis. His oncologist referred chemotherapy which lasted for three months. He believes in meditation and journal writing. He wants everybody to be optimistic and make plans for the future. On the most challenging days when it becomes hard to get up, remind yourself that "It's going to get better".

Pattrick was diagnosed with Lymphoma in the year 1990. He first found a lump in the base of the neck. The doctor asked him to undergo a Biopsy, and he was diagnosed with Lymphoma Cancer. He was shocked to realise the diagnosis as there was no family history, no lifestyle factors and he was always physically fit. Metastasis was found in his spleen. Surgery and radiation for around ten months were done as a part of the treatment. He says it is important to appreciate life, be physically fit, and always have a healthy lifestyle.
