What if "I'm stuck" is just the shortest word you have for something you haven't said properly yet?

In this episode of Candid Coach Conversations, Kimberly Boyd sits down with Amanda Kaufman... certified Live Life Fully coach, business builder, and the person you want in the room when you need a fuzzy feeling turned into plain language... to talk about what stuck actually is and the three moves that get you out of it.

Amanda takes the word apart. Sometimes stuck means something outside your control is not moving on your preferred timeline, and it would be lovely if it hurried up. Sometimes stuck means a person in your life is putting in less effort than you'd like, and you're tired of asking twice for the smallest thing. And sometimes stuck is internal, in which case the more accurate word is usually frustrated. Underneath all three sits the same thing: an expectation that reality is different than it is.

She and Kimberly get into the difference one word makes... "I am" closes a door, "I feel" opens one... and the way modern communication trains us out of specifics entirely. We say "I'm stuck" because it's short. You win on character count and lose the entire description of your experience. Amanda uses money as the example: most of us are off by ten or twenty percent on what we earn and what we spend, so every time we open the account we meet a gap, and in that gap we start telling stories that conveniently prevent us from doing anything different. Then she gives Kimberly three nudges, and closes on what she calls the junk food of relationships.

What would change if you spoke to yourself the way you speak to the people you love?

In this episode of Candid Coach Conversations, Kimberly Boyd sits down with Guadalupe Gudino... Certified Live Life Fully Coach, and host of the Get Out of Your Own Way community... and Tiffanie Hughes... Certified Live Life Fully Coach and creator of the Re-U method... to talk about the difference between shaming yourself and getting curious, and what that difference does to a life.

Guadalupe opens with a distinction that reframes the whole conversation: the voice in the back of your head is either encouraging you or shaming you, and you can hear which one by the question it asks. Then she tells the story behind it. A tornado went through her house... fence pickets driven through the walls and into the kitchen, a dog hustled into the utility room, a picket landing where her head had been if she had stayed on the couch. In the weeks after, she found herself keeping score against her own normal pace and coming up short. It was Kimberly who asked what that self-talk was actually doing, and put it in terms Guadalupe could feel: when someone yells at you, you shut down. When someone encourages you, you step forward and ask for help. Out of that came the question she still uses... can I be my friend?

Tiffanie comes at it from the other direction. She wants to talk to herself the way she talks to everyone else, because she is a cheerleader by instinct and it never occurred to her that she was exempt from her own kindness. Together the three of them get into the rut that feels like safety, the intentions and monthly reflection that pull you out of it, healing that lives in moving forward rather than going back, and the one client who caught her limiting beliefs mid-sentence, opened the notes app on her phone, read her new beliefs out loud, and handled the situation completely differently.

What if the people you love, and the rest you keep promising yourself, had a standing date on your calendar?

Shuntá built her digital planner for one honest reason: she kept losing the paper one. What if starting your business took 18 minutes... and less than you spend at Starbucks in a year?

In this episode of Candid Coach Conversations, Kimberly Boyd sits down with Amanda Kaufman... business coach, certified Live Life Fully coach, and two-time business founder... to talk about what it really takes to start a business and how you know you're actually ready.

Amanda starts by dismantling the biggest myth in the room: the Scrooge McDuck pile of money you supposedly need before you begin. The real cost of business, she says, is trade... time, money, emotional attention... and above all, commitment. She shares the quote she'd just picked up that week ("in our youth, we're creating options; as we grow older, we make commitments"), the story of thinking her business paperwork would play out like an episode of Law and Order... and the reality: 18 minutes online and about $250. Meanwhile the average American spends roughly $1,117 a year at Starbucks. The math is closer than you think.

What if the question you keep whispering to yourself... "I don't even know who I am anymore"... is being asked by women on every continent?

In this episode of Candid Coach Conversations, Kimberly Boyd sits down with Tiffanie Hughes... Certified Live Life Fully coach, creator of the RE:YOU method, and mom... to talk about carrying her work on women's identity from her coaching practice to an international academic stage in London.

Tiffanie answered a call for papers from a gender and women's studies conference at Queensgate College in London, got her abstract accepted, booked a flight, and built a presentation that was almost all images... a showcase of masks (the mom, the daughter, the strong one, the sensible one) with one question underneath: which part is the woman? What if you built the exact life you planned... and then realized you never asked how you wanted it to feel?

What if the question underneath every crossroad isn't "what should I do next"... it's "what do I really want?"

In this episode of Candid Coach Conversations, Kimberly Boyd sits down with two certified Live Life Fully coaches... Amanda Kaufman, who traded a decade in corporate America for a coaching career, and Teresa Anderson, licensed therapist and author of The Table... to talk about the question she keeps hearing from clients in seasons of job changes, new hires, and shake-ups: is this what I really want, and is this the place for me?

What happened to your energy... and what would it take to get it back before the day is over?

In this episode of Candid Coach Conversations, Kimberly Boyd sits down with Teresa Anderson... licensed therapist, certified Live Life Fully coach, and author of The Table... to talk about where our energy actually goes and the practical moves that bring it back.

Recorded in the thick of a Houston summer ("nine bazillion degrees," by Kimberly's official measurement), the conversation starts with an honest confession: Teresa's current energy zapper is work itself. Too many couples back to back in the therapy room, and a coach's challenge ringing in her ears about her next five big moves. She walks through them one by one... playing Tetris with her schedule, prepping on Sunday so client homework is already saved in the chart, adding extra protein on the days she knows she'll be worn out by the fifth or sixth session, and yes... jumping up and down to reset her nervous system.

From there the two trade practices like neighbors trading recipes. Kimberly shares the 72-hour lookback she learned from Dr. Amen... when the energy is gone, ask what you ate, what you drank, and what the last three days actually held, because your body is still processing all of it. What if the thing standing between you and excellence isn't more preparation... it's your willingness to start messy?

In this episode of Candid Coach Conversations, Kimberly Boyd sits down with Amanda Kaufman... entrepreneur, certified Live Life Fully coach, former competitive figure skater, and self-proclaimed dreamer with a spreadsheet... to talk about breaking up with perfection, the tax we pay for not moving, and how massive imperfect action is the only road to excellence.

Amanda takes us back to the rink in the Arctic town where she grew up skating five days a week. She'd learned every other jump quickly, but the axle... the only jump that takes off from a forward edge... refused to come. Introduced to it at 11 or 12, she didn't land it until 16, and blaming the coaches, the tiny club, and the axle itself never put it on the ice. What did was letting go of what she'd been told it should feel like and trying a different feeling... and once she landed one, she could suddenly land them with double jumps stacked on the back. From there she and Kimberly trace the same pattern through a rubbery French omelet that became a mean one, 50 pancake recipes on the way to the excellent ones, the peanut butter and jelly experiment that shows how angry we get when the world ignores our exact instructions, and the spreadsheet Amanda uses to model possible futures... including the move she's been circling for 15 years.
