Some real time reactions to the premiere of Almodovar’s Parallel Mothers pop up just in the nick of time as we transition to a few final previews of Venice & Telluride. The former released its schedule while the latter finally released its lineup. So we’ll continue to cover the fall festivals in forthcoming shows.

There’s a progress report from the HFPA, and we all should be skeptical. The 2022-23 Oscars get some familiar auteurs back in the ring with Francis Ford Coppola and another project from Paul Schrader.
