In today's episode Danielle & Erin discuss dogs and COVID-19 with Dr. Angela Jung.

Dr. Angie Jung is a Minnesota-born small animal veterinarian, weaving creature comforts and integrative, research-based medicine together to provide quality care to dogs and cats of all ages. She believes that the human-animal bond can lead to compassion that extends into all parts of one's life. Keeping an open line of communication with clients and partnering with them to better the lives of their pets is her continual goal. Dr. Jung has a B.S. in Zoology, a B.A. in Music from the University of Wyoming, and is a DVM graduate of the University of Minnesota's College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been in the veterinary field since 2000 and has worked for Banfield Pet Hospital, currently as Chief of Staff, since 2009.

In today's episode Erin connects with Danielle on the origin story of Canine Inspired Change.

CIC began in 2010, when professional dog trainer Danielle Graczyk became aware of the role her dogs played in her recovery. Recognizing the support her dogs brought to her during this hard time, she felt called to share her experience with others. Canine Inspired Change developed organically from her dog behavior knowledge and personal evolution. On this path Danielle developed relationships with legal experts, behavioral analysts and education experts, all reinforcing the transformative nature of connection and community, inspired by the unconditional, non-judgmental love dogs provide.

In today's episode Danielle connects with Katie Kramer about the importance of voting in the upcoming election.

Katie Kramer is the policy director for Violence Free Minnesota - the coalition to end relationship abuse. In her role, she provides legislative advocacy - from the state Capitol in Saint Paul to Congress in Washington, DC - that works to ensure that policies and legislation promote victim/survivor safety and autonomy, and creates a more safe and equitable Minnesota. Katie also works with CIC as a volunteer with her therapy dog Rascal, and assists with development work for CIC. Katie completed undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Women's Studies from Loyola University Chicago, and a Master's degree in Advocacy and Political Leadership from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
