I turned 55 this week. So I made a life list, list of how to approach 55 and beyond including a FUN list of how to embrace senior life as a celebration!
Starting over as life changes we face the fear of change. “the paradox of aging”—the older we get, the happier we are—is partly the result, for many people, of having more financial resources and fewer financial obligations. But it’s also a function of individuals recognizing that even as they age out of certain roles, new exciting roles await us with a big smile…..
An influence to Generation X, Van Halen was a staple of our time. This episode is a Tribute to the great American story of Eddie Van Halen and the band which holds his name.
Remember high school in the 80's? Our version of Google, smoking areas in schools, keg parties, passing notes were the social media. Our school experience built character.
We are the MTV generation. Our generation isa mixed tape of great music and soundtracks of the MTV artists and great movies of the 80's and 90's. MTV introduced the world to Generation X and highlighted our spring break!
Why is middle age a crisis? We should be celebrating! We will talk about how to turn the crisis into a celebration. Appreciate what we have accomplished and not how to measure yourself based others social media un real life.
Do you remember your childhood as a Gen Xer? We were the "crash test dummies" Forging the way to a safer world for our kids! Listen and realize that maybe nostalgia made our childhood days better than they really were, a den of hazards from cars to bike helmets. How we are now better parents for it.
Gen X has hit middle age. But we won't accept this, like we don't accept many things in our generation.
