As boys, discovery was a way of life. From childhood curiosity to young adult ambition, we chased the thrill of newness. But somewhere in midlife—amid spreadsheets, strained relationships, and the weight of leadership—discovery starts to feel... distant. We get covered up. Our days are covered. Our calendars are full. Our joy gets buried beneath survival.

But the truth is: what’s buried isn’t gone. And the Father is inviting us back into the joyful work of discovering—of uncovering—the parts of us that have gone dormant.

We look at the Latin root of “discovery,” which literally means to “remove the cover.” The things we’ve forgotten—dreams, gifts, relationships, even moments of joy—are not gone; they are simply hidden.
