Burn Youth led the service this week and fitting well with this month's theme of "Jesus Our Sacrifice" Meg Cathie gave this powerful message about Jesus' love for us.

Jesus' miracles were not about his power but about his love for people.

If you are struggling with something there is a solution and his name is Jesus.

We all have issues. We were created to need Jesus.

When we stretch out our hand and take Jesus' hand everything changes.

The only thing we need to accept about our lives is that Jesus can change it.

Jesus wants to take us on a journey to expand our lives.

Gods grace is not wimpy. It has the ability to totally transform. 1cor2:1-2. We cannot avoid the cross as Christians. Jesus is the sacrificial lamb of God. Jn19:30.-33,36-37. Prophecy of Zechariah. Ze12:10,13:1. A fountain is opened to us. When we pause to behold we become people marked by Grace. A Christian is whom something has happened. Heb12:15. Do not miss out on the Grace of God. Tit2:11. Offered to all people. Revealing. Grace only present when Jesus was born. Lk15:18-20. Grace in action. The devil likes to use guilt and shame to prevent you from coming home. We talk about Grace as if we understand. Ro3:23-24. A free gift.  Grace says it's not good enough but Jesus is. Ez36:26. Heb10:16-17. God performing heart surgery. And when God stoops to hear your heart does He not hear the still beating heart of His Son. Christ in me. Gal2:20. The is something greater in me transforming me. As if you were the only one. Unlike any other religion. Col1:27.

God can't do anything with an empty seat. It has to be filled as He works through you and I. Ph1:6. I can begin a work in you when you sit on the seat. Imagine what God can do if there is more than one seat filled. Do we become apathetic about empty seats. Have we lost the passion. Lk14. Jesus at a banquet filled with the top church staff. When Jesus enters there is tension in the room. Jesus heals there. He uses the banquet to demonstrate what it's all about through a parable. There is still room for more. Still empty seats so that the house may be full. The purpose of the party is open to everyone. SoS2:4Every weekend a banquet is provided for you by the church. They love having you here. A tangible sign of how much you are loved. 1. Connections happen at the banquet. At the table. 2. The banquet is better if everyone gets involved. When everyone helps. Imagine if everyone helped set the table. He implies that the success of the banquet is that every chair is filled. You taste and see that God is good. Don't be a one course Christian. God wants as many people as possible to be blessed by the taste of the banquet. You may not like them. No allocated seats. No exceptions. It's not compulsory to come. Maybe they have no idea. Do we say it's ok to have empty seats? Your challenge is before you. Make yourself available for Him.

This message from Pastor Jon Cathie compares the gospel picture of Jesus riding a donkey into Jerusalem to the Revelation picture of Jesus riding a white horse into battle and relates that to what Jesus has done for us.

Main Points:

Let's not forget he is King.

Most people prefer the King on a donkey.

He's not just a King.

This king was willing to give it all up for us.

Pastor Jon Cathie's message "Jesus Is My Shepherd" is simply about Jesus and our relationship with him.

Jesus is the good shepherd.

You are not just a number, Jesus knows you by name.

I have everything I need because the Lord is my shepherd.

There are incredible blessings when you journey with the shepherd. Though our path may take us through dark valleys with dangerous enemies Jesus is there to comfort us. The blessings come through the buffetings.

Jesus the good shepherd was willing to pay the price.

Pastor Anthony Peterson's message is about Jesus and our relationship with him and reflecting his light.

Jesus is the light of the world.

We need a "come to Jesus moment".

Darkness cannot overcome the light.

When we follow Jesus we become the light of the world.

We walk by faith not by sight.

All of us have a testimony of how we encountered Christ.

Don't let anyone or anything steal away your encounter with Christ.
