Pastor Jon Cathie message provides an answer to an old question that the world asks - "If God is a God of peace then why is there no peace?"

Our peace is dependent on God's glory. Give glory to God and you will be enshrouded in peace.

Our peace is found when we please the Lord.

Our peace is possible through Christ alone.

Pastor Anthony Peterson continues this month's I Believe in Christmas theme with a look at Jesus as our Undercover Boss.

Some people might ask that if God is real why doesn't he just show up? But in Jesus he did show up and we didn't know him. Most people don't reject God, they reject the wrong impression. The premium evidence that God is and that God is good is in the person of Jesus Christ.

The Bible shows four things:

Proof of our conscience. A moral law who's source is unknown. Is morality objective or subjective? Christians believe that Jesus is the ultimate standard.

Proof of creation. The sheer improbability of life.

Prophecy. Hundreds of prophecies that have come true.

His Son. The premium evidence that God is good is Jesus. He chose to enter the world undercover. Why? Jesus made room for faith and trust. It is not knowledge of Jesus that will save you.

God is in the business of total transformation and redemption. There is no life apart from Him. He wants to save us from ourselves.

Vs 28. This was was going to be a season of great favour. 

The Season of Blessing. 

God enjoys surprise parties. Did for Mary!

God is wanting to surprise you too. 

What happens when God blesses and how we should respond:

 

He is already accomplishing what He is telling you. It was news to her but history to Him. He speaks it and it is. Ps138:2. Gen22. God provides long before the need. The blessing is already there. 1Pe1:20

He has a kingdom purpose in mind. The blessing poured out on you is eternal. I may not see it come to fruition. It's never just for you. It is meant to be shared. Gods economy. Matt5:16. 

What He conceives is often inconceivable to us. His plan and purpose is greater than yours. God is not setting you up for failure. You can't do it in your own strength. Put you trust in Him.

He adds to the blessing His empowering and His enabling. Empowers by His Spirit and enabled by His grace. God does not bless without enabling. Take delight in it. Ph4:13. 

He awakens the barrenness in others. If we don't squander it it has a ripple effect. It awakens the possibilities for others. If you testify to others it can start the ripple effect. 

It shuts the door of the limitations of the past. Nothing is impossible with God. People used to say. Branding and labels are crushed by His blessing. If you respond, you can declare victory over these words. Grab hold of it now and deal with it once and for all. 

Our response is really important. I will believe, receive and conceive all you have In store for me.

On earth as it is in heaven. We can see glimpses of heaven while on earth. Having an eternal perspective should become part of our living. 

Allow this message to permeate our thinking. There should be something different about how we live in this world. Phil1:27.  How does this affect me way we live our lives:

 

The treasures in heaven are more important than on earth. Matt?? An eternal reward. It's no longer about self and resourcing the KoG. Sacrifice. A passion that drives you. What I give I have

Ep2:6. We are seated with Christ now. Jesus is at the centre of our life. Jesus is not an attachment I add to a busy life. He is the centre of it all. Let's be sold out to Him. 

Hope and Joy amidst suffering 1Pe4:12-13. We live in a fallen world. He will will place you on a firm foundation. Glimpses of the eternal. 1Co15. Turn our tombstone to a steppingstone. 

Seek to be guided by wisdom. Ep5:15-16. 1Pe4:7.  There was no casual commitment at this time.

Our greatest desperation is to win the lost. Jn4:34-35. Let us not wait for the perfect time. There is a list world who needs to hear His message. 

Rev21:3-4. Stay true to Jesus. A heart that none should perish. Please follow Him because I want to see you there in heaven.

Pastor Allan Davis delivers Part 4 of this month's theme "I Believe In Eternity".

Life is full of tragedy and then we die. Death occurs in the midst of life. In one thing we are all equal, everyone dies. Only Christians have the guarantee of eternal life. Our life is only transitory and only that which is done for Christ will last.

Consider why you are here. God has something for you to do. Find a purpose and do it and you'll find fulfillment in that. God has a plan and a purpose for your life. He loves you and wants to share heaven and eternity with you. No one else has this hope.

Main Points:

Heaven is a real place. It is not just a state of mind.

Heaven will be more than you think.

Heaven is newer than we think.

What will it look like?

 

Sinless perfection. Joy and laughter. Feasts and hospitality. Nations that bring wealth and honour. 

Every feature. Sin will never enter this place again. Immune to corruption. 

Inhabited by God Himself and the host of angels. 

We will regularly visit the new Jerusalem. Rev21:22. City of gold. 

A place of wonder, adventure and relationship. Ep2:6-7. Rev21:5. 

A place of worship. No compulsion but  complete spontaneity. 

Feel like home was always meant to be.
