Jn14:16-17,25-26,15:26,16:7-8
Jesus repeats emphatically about the helper or counsellor. He is preparing the disciples through the Helper.
Jesus uses the word Parakletos to describe the Holy Spirit. The word has the following meaning:
1) He is a Counsellor - He will guide us into all truth. Why do we make major decisions without asking the counsellor. Ask for His leading and direction.
7 key decisions that we should be asking the Holy Spirit:
A) Marriage - to affirm to you the right partner. Don't marry someone who does not have a sincere relationship with Jesus. Do not be unequally yoked. Religion is not relationship.
B) Study, University or Trade - allow the Holy Spirit to guide you on the gifting God has put on your life.
C) Employment and Career - is it what the Holy Spirit wants. Counsel and guide
D) Church and Ministry - those who are planted shall flourish.
E) Relocation of any kind - Holy Spirit confirm to me.
F) Business Investments - ask for perfect guidance and creativity.
G) Housing - where you live and the home you buy.
2) He is a Comforter and Consoler - He is a Spirit of peace and came alongside us. Heb13:20. Death where is your sting. He will practically equip you for all that you need.
3) He is a Companion - he will stick closer than a brother. He never forsakes you. He perfectly loves you
4) He is a Courage Builder - Mic3:8, Is11:2. Let's not forget His power. Zech4:6. He reminds our grand purpose. Let the weak say I am strong. Ep3:16.
5) He is a Convincer and Convicter
6) He is the Chosen Representative
