Are the lights of the church going out? The church worldwide is in decline. The need for creed is now. Ps Jon Cathie talks about the 7 areas of no compromise:

We will not compromise on the triune nature of God

We will not compromise on the message of salvation through Christ alone

We will not compromise on the truth of the resurrection

We will not compromise on the bible being Gods word

We will not compromise on believing that the Holy Spirit has the power to transform lives

We will not compromise on prevailing prayer to move the heart of God

We will not compromise on our God given mandate to reach our world with the verbalised and demonstrated love of Jesus

Pastor Mark McGugan wraps up the talks given by several members covering some of the different church departments and connect groups providing opportunities for us to be actively involved. Pastor Mark likened God's remembrance of our service to that of a loving parent placing their children's drawings on the fridge door. The pictures may not be a Rembrandt but they will be Remembered. Pastor Mark points out three things from the scripture reference:

God doesn't miss anything.

God looks at the heart of those who serve him.

God notices our faithfulness.

There is only one real choice we have to make: Will we bow or will we burn. In between bowing and standing is squatting. If you are not bowing or standing you're doing diddly squat.

We need a creed because obedience to God's word brings blessings to our life.

Pastor Jon Cathie's message on Capital Edge's Consecration Sunday explains the difference between consecration and dedication and provides keys to a consecrated life.

Righteousness. Christ is our righteousness enabling us to enter into the presence of the Lord.

Gratitude. Maintain an attitude of gratitude. Give thanks to the Lord, he answers our prayer and saves us.

Alignment. Make Jesus our cornerstone. The building blocks of a consecreated life are referenced to the cornerstone.

Delight. Delight yourself in the Lord. Each day choose to delight yourself in the Lord and rejoice in the goodness of God.

Blessing. A consecrated life is a life of blessing. We are blessed to be a blessing to others for the glory of God.

Sacrifice. A living sacrifice ties itself to the altar. Be willing to sacrifice for His glory for great is your reward in heaven.

Pastor Mark McGugan's message asks "What are you going to do when trouble comes to you"? He explains the typical sources of trouble and provides examples and answers for each.

Whose fingerprints are on it?  Identifying the source of the trouble determines how we deal with it. Trouble comes from one of the following three areas:

Trouble we create for ourselves. Through the lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and pride of life.

Trouble that other people create for us. King David's troubles came from other people, even his own son, but God sent people to help him overcome these troubles.

Trouble that rulers, authorities, powers of this dark world and spiritual forces of evil in heavenly realms create for us. Everything Job had was taken away - his livelihood, his children and his health. Yet still he blessed God and God blessed his latter days more than his first.

What or who we worship in times of trouble determines the outcome. King Ahaz made the source of his trouble the object of his worship and that led to their downfall.

We need to stay close to Jesus in the midst of trouble, Jesus is the overcomer.

Summary:In 2015 the Lord wants us to identify where the troubles are coming from.He wants us to put them into proper perspective.He wants to do a miracle and wants us to prosper there.Scripture:

Pastor Jon Cathie encourages us to be ready for change in 2015 and provides a message on Seeing Jesus With New Eyes.
