Educators from about 50 local school districts convened a summit this week to share ideas and strategies for navigating the state's ongoing teacher shortage.

One particular challenge many districts face is not just filling vacant positions, but building and maintaining a diverse teacher workforce that can connect with the state's increasingly diverse student body.
