Barry Biggs is a Jamaican reggae singer, best known in the UK for his cover of the Blue Magic song, "Sideshow", which got to number 3 in the UK Singles Chart in 1977.Biggs was a recording engineer and cameraman with the Jamaican Broadcasting Company,also a member of the band the Astronauts, before becoming the lead singer for Byron Lee's Dragonaires.

Biggs recorded his first Jamaican hit, a cover of The Osmonds' "One Bad Apple". He broke through to international success in 1976 with "Work All Day". Biggs had 6 hit singles on the UK Singles Chart between 1976 -1981, most successful was, "Sideshow", reaching # 3 in January 1977. He recorded two songs with Bunny Lee; "Sincerely" and "You're Welcome" . He topped the reggae chart in the UK with "Wide Awake in a Dream" and "A Promise is a Comfort to a Fool".

 Biggs' other reggae cover versions of popular soul hits, Stevie Wonder's "My Cherie Amour"; "Sideshow" and "Three Ring Circus" by Blue Magic; and others originally by The Chi-Lites, The Moonglows ("Sincerely"), The Temptations ("Just My Imagination"). His version of "Love Come Down", recorded by Evelyn "Champagne" King, was a top 5 hit in 1983 in The Netherlands.

Andrew Robinson  (a born Jamaican) was born in the year 1962 – a very critical time in Jamaicas history – that was the year when Jamaica got its independence from great Britain. Andrew hails from the largest parish in Jamaica, that is the parish of St Catherine, and spent most of his life there. He grew up with his seven other brothers and sisters and their mother, who was a single parent. Andrew’s mother Hazel Redwood was also a singer at that time and worked with groups and solo singers like the Abysinnians, Leroy Gibbon, Lester Lewis as well as O.Paul and the Topas. Andrew started his music career in 1983 as a Gospel singer and guitarist.

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Jamaica Labour Party was a short while ago declared the winner of the 2016 general election, after claiming 33 of the 63 constituency seats. The Labourites will now form Jamaica’s new Government, after the People’s National Party only managed to win 30 constituency seats.

Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) leader Andrew Holness has urged voters not to forget the disrespect shown to them by the ruling People’s National Party (PNP) by refusing to participate in a national debate. Holness, who issued the call at a meeting in Portland Western on Tuesday night, said the electorate must also be mindful that the PNP has not put forward a plan for the country going into today’s general election.
