In this episode Jennifer will be sharing her past experiences with depression, anxiety, binge eating disorder, and chronic pain. She calls her time in these moments her "Deepest Darkest Peru." She opens up about her journey through these moments and how she has moved forward with self compassion and resiliency. This was a fun episode with some laughter, breathe, singing bowls and such amazing company.

Hello everyone, welcome to Episode 8 of Carry On With Carrie.

I am so happy for you to meet Karli Andreas, Certified BodyTalk Practitioner (CBP) an Alternative & Holistic Health Service. Karli, often says that she is a human being trying to live as authentically as she can with every passing day. She has many accomplishments that fill her resume such as having a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and 18 years of experience working as an Engineer in Alberta’s petrochemical and oil & gas industry. What is not on her resume is that she is the wife to a darn good fella (almost 15 years married and 19 together), mother to a 7 year old son with an intensity for freedom, variety & independence, and a 6 year old daughter with a need for harmony and giggles. On the very journey to become parents, Karli’s resilience was tested as challenge after challenge seemed to emerge. What she didn’t understand at the time was that the a beautiful blessing was also unfolding, which was BodyTalk; maybe it was the engineer in her, or her curious nature, but she had to understand why she felt so calm, and why her body responded in such positive physical ways after she received a Bodytalk session and she became a student of Bodytalk in 2011. What she learned is that BodyTalk is based on the principles of quantum physics and consciousness - and consciousness is the understanding that everything is connected. As her family expanded and is now maturing, BodyTalk continues to be a regular part of their life and her children often ask for Cortices, a brain balancing technique, whenever they feel overwhelmed. BodyTalk and all consciousness based modalities are rooted in the understanding that the thoughts and belief systems an individual holds in their subconscious mind is what creates their reality, so if we want to have a different experience, we really need to consider the deeply held BS (belief systems) the ego is holding onto for dear life. There is a saying that the mind is a wonderful servant but a terrible master. BodyTalk helps the heart to resume its rightful role as master. This is why she keeps practicing BodyTalk; to share the ability to tap into the beauty and joy of the human experience.

Hello everyone, welcome to Episode 7 of Carry On With Carrie.

Today we are fortunate enough to meet Gin, we are talking about Addictions and Mental Health. Gin shares some of her experiences and stories around her addictions and recovery. Gin holds a diploma in Addictions and Community Service she helps so many as an active member in Alcoholics Anonymous. Gin is a sponsor and mentor in the AA program and has brought so much hope to so many.

She has a way of telling a story that keeps you on the edge of your seat you just have to hear more. Gin keeps it REAL and is just super cool. She knows her stuff and I am so very grateful every time I get to sit down and enjoy her company and talk about some pretty amazing perspectives, philosophies, and deep thoughts. I always leave her company feeling better than I did before. Oh yeah, did I mention Gin is studying to become a Death Doula?

How does it affect the caregiver and how do they access help? Kristine is raw and candid about her experiences both on a personal and professional level.
