What do you get when you cross 2 Sheens, some Larry Fishbourne, and a guy who doesn't talk much but can really sing? You get Cadence from 1990. Definitely check this movie out, it's well worth a watch, but even more so - this episode is worth a listen!

Here on the Casual Movie Club, we did a thing! Well, we watched a thing. Not just any thing, but The Thing from 1982. This movie has all of the makings of a classic horror movie; Kurt Russell with facial hair, Wilford Brimley not talking about diabetes, and of course an alien not being pursued by Mulder and Scully. It's a quintessential horror classic, and one we certainly recommend watching!

Four different people, four different stories, one thing in common: addiction. Darren Aronofsky's "Requiem For A Dream" from 2000 shows the rise and fall of hopes and dreams with regards to battling addiction. This is a movie everyone should watch; whether you watch it more than once is up to you, but it's worth watching at least once to see the top caliber acting, unique visuals, and of course... Marlon Wayans helping to roll a living room TV set through the streets of New York.

Every now and then a movie comes along that grabs you in a certain way... like, it would make you want to hurl a chair at someone that wasn't doing things just right. It might make you want to scream at someone to keep playing until they draw blood... it makes you want to push people beyond their limits to get the absolute best out of them. The movie is Whiplash, and this one is one of our favorites. Don't believe me? Listen to the episode, you'll be glad you did....Oh, and that's not quite my tempo.

Picture it: San Francisco... the cable cars, the Golden Gate bridge, and a guy who looks like a cross between Weird Al and an off-brand Kenny G. You may be wondering what movie gives you this hugely sought-after combo? Why, it's "The Room" from 2003 of course. It doesn't get any better than this work of cinematic genius. The writing makes men's room graffiti look like it should win awards. The acting is so... well... why spoil it? Listen to the episode. You'll be sure to get a good chuckle or two... or thirty.

This movie has the perfect ingredients for a classic 80s movie: 80s rock music, crazy-looking cars, cheesy dialogue, and of course...Charlie Sheen: The Warlock who's always winning. Oh, and of course, Randy Quaid. It really doen't get any better than "The Wraith" from 1986. Be sure to listen to this episode, or else Charlie Sheen might show up in a funny looking car and street race you while you're driving to the supermarket.

Hello my dears! What do you get when you take a genius comedian, some very talented hair and makeup artists, and a gullible housewife who'd rather get a divorce than work stuff out? You get Mrs Doubtfire from 1993, of course! This movie sparked a very interesting discussion between John and Brian, it's definitely one not to miss. How on earth did Sally Field's character not realize her husband of 14 years, who was a voice actor, was just doing a character? You'll have to listen to the episode to see Brian and John's take on this 90's classic.

This is one of those movies where you'd rather the phrase "in one ear and out the other" actually applied. This is a movie where things go in one place, and out somewhere completely different. We're talking about, of course, The Human Centipede from 2009. This gem of a film was one we couldn't wait to do on our podcast, because it had everything from annoying college coeds to a mad scientist surgeon who seemed to know what he was doing. Despite the movie being described as "gross", "disgusting", and other words we'll leave to your imagination, our episode is far more entertaining, far less disgusting, and a heck of a lot funnier.

This week it's time to cut loose, and kick off those Sunday shoes because on the Casual Movie Club it's time to talk about Footloose, that smash hit from 1984. If you play the Kevin Bacon game, this movie helps you connect him to people like John Lithgow and Diane Wiest, or Chris Penn if you're into more obscure actors. Interestingly enough, this movie is based on a true story; the fact that a small town actually banned dancing. This episode is certainly not one to miss, because we talk about how baffling a ban on dancing actually is, and how our opinions on the soundtrack are quite different.

What comes to mind when you hear the name of the movie?
