As Paul continues to build up the Corinthians, he does so by appealing to them to open up their hearts to him as he has so readily done towards them. This is an encouragement to us as well to perceiver in the Christian life by neither giving up, giving in to petty resentments and striving to live like Christ in having an open heart.

Life is not always comfortable. But God doesn’t call us to be comfortable but rather to embrace a godly comfort zone where we are comforted and in return comfort those around us.
