Catholicism is Cool

Fr. Z (Fr. John Zuhlsdorf)

This is an interesting Q & A about what purgatory is, how to explain it to others and much more. I'll be recording it in segments.

The first Sunday in Lent 2024, Mark Wahlberg attended Mass at my parish.

These promises make it worthwhile to pray this prayer every day for 1 year.

These are the last prayers of this wonderful soul-saving prayer

This episode covers prayers 2 - 10.

St. Bridget prayed for a long time to know how many blows Our Lord suffered during His terrible Passion. Rewarding her patience, one day He appeared to her and said:

"I received 5475 blows upon My Body. If you wish to hone them in some way, recite 15 Our Fathers and 15 Hail Marys with the following Prayers, which I Myself shall teach you, for an entire year. When the year is finished, you will have honored each of my wounds."

In this prayer, Jesus says a thousand prayers cannot equal one single act of surrender.

In this prayer, Jesus promises if we say, "You take care of it", He will console, liberate and guide us.
