The holidays tend to be way more stressful than joyous. This episode I go through the before, during and after of how to be mindful of your emotions over the holidays when conflicts or unsettling situations arise. 

This episode is split into 2 parts. First; I go into my "WHY". Why "Causing Friction". I get personal about my own mental health disorders, why this podcasts exists and the impact I hope to achieve. The second half; I dive into the science behind compliments and spreading kindness with the help of a little thing called dopamine. Being kind is cool and genuinely healthy for your brain... so why not spread a little love?

Trauma has created a fight or flight reaction that you resort to and once you accept that this is a defensive mechanism or response to trauma...that is when you can slowly start to heal. That is when you can take a step back and realize that you have been creating these chaotic relationships or purposefully putting yourself into situations you know won’t end well all because this is where you feel comfortable.

Most people can relate to the fact that 2020 was not the year they expected. I think saying 2020 forced me to put into perspective what I value in my life, who I want in my life, WHO deserves my energy, WHAT deserves my time is actually what I mean. This year really changed me and I wouldn't have it any other way.
