CBFA Podcast

James and Cole are back to talk about the upcoming bantam football season.

We have only 10 teams this year, and there have been a number of schedule changes so remember to check the website (calgarybantamfootball.com) for the most up-to-date information.

It's time to get excited. Football season is here!

It's offseason for bantams, but SAFFL is in full season! The Southern Alberta Female Football League is the pet project of Elisha Torraville, and consists of U19 and U16 girls teams from Red Deer to Okotoks.

Elisha joins the podcast to talk about the league, how it was formed, and how much it has grown. SAFFL plays Canadian rules, 6-a-side, full equipment tackle football on a full-length field narrowed between the numbers.

If you would like more information about SAFFL, please check out their website (www.femalefootballcalgary.ca) or email Elisha directly ([email protected]).

Grant Pollock joins James to wrap up the season and share some thoughts on what was an entertaining and competitive (for the most part) season.

The two also talk about some of the award winners and how nice it is to put faces (and hair) to names.

Cole travels with the CBFA Selects to sunny Las Vegas, but it was no vacation. The team worked hard, and earned the U-14 Championship with a 2-1 record.

We will wrap up the season next week with a review of the award winners and all-stars.
