Paul the Apostle's second missionary journey continues with the people of Thessalonica and Berea. Both received God's Word gladly, but the Bereans are given an extra word of commendation for checking out what Paul told them and knowing for certain what they were told to believe was true.
1. The first words of Satan to mankind was challenging the Word of God.
2. The Bible isn't boring. We are.
3. Trusting something without reason isn't virtuous.
Israel was and remains the nation by which salvation has been and will continue to be brought to all nations. Anti-Semitic hate groups disagree on this and favor the idea that the church has replaced them and inherited all of the promises that remain unfulfilled in the Old Testament. This is verifiably false.

Perfect worship is a practical way of receiving and relating God's love for His people with His people and to His people. This makes a demonstrable impact on the way we live our lives in church as well as outside of it.

The Apostle Peter uses the Old Testament ceremonies and the promises of Jesus to give an informed perspective to believers about how we should see the trouble we inevitably run into in this life.
1. We aren't promised a trouble free life, but we are promised a purposeful one.
2. God has been good to us and will continue to be.
3. Every day is an opportunity to look forward to and trust the work God is ultimately doing in our lives.
The dimensions and practices surrounding the Temple during the Millennial Kingdom are as significant by what they mention as they are in what they don't. What Jesus has fulfilled will be replaced by His presence. What God is continuing to do will be something we'll all have the honor of remembering with His people daily.
1. There will be different Heavenly rewards, but no lack of access to Jesus.
2. God is as interested in the small decisions in your life as He is the big ones.
3. There is always profit in taking the time to remember all that God has done for us.
We can learn a lot about a person's ideas of God and themselves by their prayer life. David was a songwriter who wrote to and about his God with all the expression and desperation that we see in song lyrics.
1. David asks the Lord for help from his enemies. Do we?
2. What or who are the enemies that have come to you?
3. Has such situations in your life brought you to your knees with such similar candor as King David? Who do you turn to? Where is your confidence set?

1. God's promises to Israel are ongoing. (Old and New Testament)
2. God's promises to Israel remain Israel's. (Anti-Replacement Theology)
3. God's promises to Israel can be benefited from or not by other nations.
