  • A Triune Relationship

The Doctrine of the Trinity reveals why we were created for a relationship with God. Being creatures made in His Image, more than anything we reflect His characteristic of desiring fellowship with each other, just like each member of the Trinity has always had.

    1. The Father's glory is demonstrated through His love for the Son and Spirit.

    2. The Son's glory is demonstrated through His submission to the Father and love for the Spirit.

    3. The Spirit's glory is demonstrated through glorifying the Father through the Son.

  • The Power of Pressing On

Paul continues his ministry to Corinth and chooses to observe a Nazarite Vow. From his example, we see the difference between doing things because you're saved and doing things in order to be saved.

    1. We trust God because He hasn't failed to keep a promise.

    2. Serve and honor God because you want to, not because you have to.

    3. Salvation apart from Jesus is impossible. Salvation because of Jesus is our only hope.

  • Coincidence is Not a Kosher Word

The raising up of Esther into the position of Queen in Medo-Persia was the most unlikely thing imaginable were it entirely left up to chance. The good news is that God was working His purpose and plan for her life just like He is ours. There are no accidents or coincidences. Just opportunities to trust God or not.

    1. God's involvement in our lives is ongoing.

    2. There are no accidents in God's economy.

    3. God's purpose for your life is to make you like Jesus in our character.

  • The Corinthian Connection

Paul spends more time in the city of Corinth than any other city he ministers to in his life. This section of scripture details how he was first received and how God verified that this is where He wanted him to be.

    1. The only solution to hypocrisy in the church is not to be one.

    2. If you don't know the promises of God, you won't know what to trust Jesus to do.

    3. If you need a miracle, you'll get one. If you don't have one, you don't need one.

  • RESPECT and Pride

The book of Esther begins with a historical framework of where we are in the midst of real events we can verify. Alongside these real people and places, we find them showcasing the real things people always get caught up in. Abuse of alcohol, abuse of power, and ultimately being abused by their own pride.

    1. Pride is a self-deceptive view of ourselves and others.

    2. Alcohol isn't a sin, but it rarely leads to good decisions.

    3. The answer to pride is love, and the enemy of love is pride.

  • The Secret of Successful Sharing

Paul gives an apologetic, or a reasoned defense of the gospel before a group of pagan philosophers. He didn't have to be omniscient or answer every challenge. All that was required was for him to care about his audience enough to do their homework and speak in terms they could understand. Where their hearts ended up as a result was between them and God.

    1. You catch more flies with honey than vinegar.

    2. The more you listen, the more others will be willing to.

    3. Effective ministry always brings the conversation back to Jesus.

  • Paradise Found

The Millennial Kingdom will be glorious. It won't be because of the environment, though it will be wonderful. It won't be because of the leadership, though it will be perfect. It won't be the Eternal State, but it will have the same thing that makes Heaven what it is. Jesus will be there.

    1. God remembers the sacrifices we make for Him in this life.

    2. God keeps every promise He makes.

    3. If you love Jesus, you're going to love Heaven because He's there.

  • Why We Stand With Israel - Part 5

    1. Jew Hatred is an emotional position, not a scriptural or factual one.

    2. Israel's actions do not justify the actions of Hamas.

    3. The opinions of individual Hebrews and Christians do not speak for the whole of Israel or the Bible.

    4. War is not sinful in of itself. It is the God-given responsibility of a government to have and use their military.

    5. Amalek, Canaan, and Moab are not appropriate examples or comparisons due to Hamas failing to be given centuries of prophetic warnings in advance.

  • When the Message Hits the Marketplace

Paul begins to share the gospel with the intellectual giants that are still influencing the world we know today. His practical and intellectual understanding of the Gospel models for us exactly how to handle ourselves when we inevitably encounter a similar situation.

    1. God gave you a brain. He expects you to use it.

    2. The majority of spiritual success is being available.

    3. The more the world objects to the Gospel, the less original they become.

  • Let The River Run

As the Son rules from Jerusalem, the Holy Spirit will be restoring life throughout the Middle East.

    1. Water is a picture of life throughout the Bible.

    2. The Holy Spirit is as much God as the Father and Son.

    3. While the 1000 year reign will be wonderful, sin and death will still be there.
