  • Gospel Freedom

Everyone loves the idea of freedom. Paul's letter to the Galatians identifies one important theme: that, through Jesus, all men have been truly freed! What, then, is the challenge? The big question is: Will you take responsibility for the freedom that Jesus has given you and whole-heartedly deny the killers that destroy it? One who does not take responsibility for freedom will be robbed of it. We kick off this study with "Freedom through the Gospel.”

  • Mother's Day

Mother’s Day is a special time to acknowledge and express love and gratitude to our mothers. It’s also a time to commit ourselves to the priority of family and examine our own lives.

This Sunday we will have a very special speaker encouraging our moms, Dr. Susan Lovett. Mrs. Susan shared: “One mother taught her son what he should be looking for in a wife and this time-tested advice will be our focus this Mother’s Day. We find it in Proverbs 31. Are we supposed to be Wonder Woman or God’s Woman? To be honest, I don’t always like this Proverbs 31 woman because her perfection seems beyond my reach, but she has lessons for us to learn that might encourage us!”

  • The Great Commission

Mark 16:15 - Jesus said, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel.”

Gospel: the “good news” that Christ died for our sins and rose from the dead. Jesus’s words to his followers are remarkable. They had seen Jesus heal the sick, give sight to the blind, resurrect from the dead, and He, Himself, bring the good news of God’s kingdom. Now Jesus was saying that it was up to the Church, the body of Christ, to continue to spread the gospel. No matter what you do today, it is an avenue for the spread of the gospel. If you’re a plumber, physician, policemen, or pastor we all have a commission - we are to share the gospel. Join us for the last week of the sermon series, The Way of the Cross - Great Commission.

  • Gates of Heaven & Hell

There's a prevailing message in society today that it's not that bad and it's all going to be ok. It's not really that big of a deal and you can wait to make spiritual choices. Mark 16:15, What profits a man if he gains the whole world, but loses his soul. We are suffering a soul problem. That was part of the pain Jesus faced in Gethsemane, bearing the weight of the sin of 100 billion human souls. Jesus' coming death at the cross was not merely an earthly experience, but would create echoes in eternity. Luke 16:19-31 We meet the Rich man and Lazerus, who give a glimpse into the two places of eternity. We will be looking at the truths about "The Gates of Heaven and Hell."

  • Gethsemane

We are approaching Easter season and we are so excited to be diving into a study starting Sunday called "The Way to the Cross." On the road to the Cross, Jesus stops to pray in the Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus is found on his face groaning, in great duress because of the heaviness of sin, significant stress, and looming separation from His Father. If you are alive in 2022 you know that anxiety, stress, and depression are real. There is a quote that has come out in the last decade "It's ok, to not be ok" which is true, but it's NOT ok, to stay that way. We live in a world full of anxiety, stress, and worry and Jesus paid the price to free us and give us hope. He said in Phil 4:6 - Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication let your requests be made known unto God. Jesus bore our struggle from Gethsemane to Golgotha, paying our sin debt. We are going to look at how to live in that freedom! Thank you Jesus!

  • Fight for Victory

David experienced a depth of joy and sorrow in unbelievable circumstances that may never touch our lives, but somehow his song of praise in 2 Samuel 22 is still relatable. If we were to learn one thing from the rollercoaster life of David, it would be this. Call upon God, inquire of God, ask God, repent to God, and seek God above all else. It was not David’s might or righteousness that made him a good King. No, he became the greatest pre-Christ ruler of God’s people for one reason, because he was a man after God’s own heart. He depended upon God for his strength and security. Even though David's life was a rollercoaster, He rarely lost sight of the almightiness of God. Join us this Sunday for the last of our Slay sermon series as Pastor Rick preaches “Fight for Victory.”

  • Fighting Indifference

Jesus paid the price for sin! We can be fully restored, but with sin comes residual consequences. In 2 Samuel 13, we are given an insiders view of gut-wrenching family dysfunction. In chapter 12, King David is told that his sin with Bathsheba would cause calamity. In Chapter 13, we see the seed of scandal that would lead to the deaths of two sons as well as the shame of his daughter. In the midst of this turmoil the shock is King David’s parental paralysis. Someone once said I’d rather do something the wrong way than to do nothing, just do something!
