Jesus was always teaching his disciples how to live by faith through instruction and application. In Matthew 14:22-33, we read about another event that took place with Jesus and his disciples “on the water”. Here we see Jesus walking on water, then inviting Peter to walk with him! It’s another amazing experience Jesus gives the disciples to teach them practical and impactful lessons on how to live life by faith, trust, and obedience. The story is recorded for us to learn these same lessons and apply them today. Join us at cefc.church.
In Mark 4, the disciples find themselves in the middle of a life-threatening storm while Jesus is asleep in the boat. In their fear, they ask a question many of us have asked in hard moments: “Do you not care that we are perishing?” In this passage, Jesus responds with questions of his own: “Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?” This study explores what our storms reveal about our faith, who Jesus truly is, and how trusting in God’s goodness can bring peace even in a storm. Join us at cefc.church.
Discover how one real encounter with Jesus’ holiness instantly exposes our sin and then turns shame into acceptance and purpose. Peter's experience with Jesus changed his life so completely that he left everything behind to follow Jesus and become a "fisher of men". Join us at cefc.church.

When it feels like everything is going wrong and evil is winning, Exodus 2:1–10 reminds us that God’s plan is better.
Pharaoh gives an evil command for baby boys to be thrown into the Nile river. But the very water meant to kill becomes the means of deliverance. Moses is drawn out of the water and raised in Pharaoh’s own palace. What was planned for evil, God turns for good.
When we feel overwhelmed, hopeless, or submerged, we can turn to Christ who draws us out from death to life. So don’t despair. Be drawn out!

"Rich Man Poor Man" is a series of three messages from Luke 16:19-31.
Join us as we look at three important lessons from this passage when Jesus tells the account of a rich man who lived a luxurious life but then spent eternity in the torment of Hades compared to Lazarus, who was a poor man and suffered through life but spent eternity in heaven. Jesus uses this powerful passage to:
* warn us about the deceitfulness of wealth (A Rich Man),
* inspire us to show mercy to others (Have Mercy On Me), and
* compel us to act before it is too late (A Great Chasm)!
