Jim O'Callaghan being an awful piece of work, Micheál Martin being a smug prick as Gaeilge, the government's bold new proposal of solving the housing crisis by giving money to the private sector, Dublin city council's outright WAR against AirBnB's lockboxes (!!!) and Pat Leahy of The Irish Times continues to waste precious resources committing nothing of import to print.

The Ligers Millennial patter gets the better of them and the bulk of the first hour is made up of talking about how much they hate work, Gar's trip to Belfast, that drunk Fine Gael guy crawling on all fours which could almost be politics. THEN Michael Healy Rae (government TD) being very brave joining a government he hates because we just need to feckin get on with things, by god!

The continued war on neutrality. they almost talk about comedy actor David Mitchell's insufferable diatribe in The Guardian about Gen Z being politically checked out but better angels prevail and they instead read a diatribe by Irish oaf and Supermac's owner Pat McDonagh giving out about people stealing burgers from him. 

The Ligers talk AI Deepseek before James burns a rainforest getting its ideas for Simpsons episodes. They read some more confused opinions as the obedient Irish commentariat try to figure out ways to blame Sinn Féin for Government TDs taking Opposition speaking time.

 The Ligers watch a clip of Micheál Martin showing contempt (imagine!) to a woman in Rosscommon affected by Storm Éowyn, Leo Varadkar weighs in on Super Junior ministers and The Opposition rudeness! Then they close out by reading an article Gerry Adams wrote for Tribune about Keir Starmer attempting to block compensation for 300 plus victims of unlawful internment.

The Ligers talk about the music of The Two Johnnies (and their far right sympathies), the grim Plan for Government which seems to be flying under the radar and Trump's inauguration where Elon Musk... just... one of the most embarrassing freaks ruining our lives in a crowded field.

Vote for Taoiseach disrupted by failure to rule out opposition speaking time being allocated to government TDs (why is this a contentious position?!), the media's complete ambivalence to this and irritation they can't get on with seeing who's in and who's freaking out! THEN they finish up talking about the cabinet picks and what we can expect from them given the aforementioned grim Plan for Government.

Sorry for everything being late. Gar edits everything and not only is his computer going cracked but he's dealing with some personal stuff. Don't you feel bad now for being mad at him? Hoping to have everything sorted this week....

they start with a timeline of events leading from the Arab Spring (Zaynab shares her experiences of that in Egypt) to the Syrian Civil War and what's happening currently.

they talk about Assad (bad man) being another in a long line of boogeymen for the west and how the western media has been reacting. Their feelings on what's going on and then the comeback of the popular image of the Evil Arab exemplified perfectly in the trailer for the new Alex Garland movie "Warfare".
