Celtic Historian and Author of Charlie Gallagher? What A Player, David Potter joins More than 90 Minutes Editor, Andrew Milne to pay tribute to Charlie who passed away recently.

Charlie was the pride of the Glasgow Irish, A Gorbals Bhoy of Gweedore stock. A Lisbon Lion, a Celtic Legend, Irish International and the first player to pull on the Green of Ireland who was born outside the country.

He was always very modest about his achievements and a complete Gentleman who will be missed by all.

Celtic Soul Podcast Episode 80 with More than 90 Minutes, Editor Andrew Milne chatting to Jonathan Gould about Life, Celtic, Football and his experiences with new Celtic manager, Ange Postecoglou

Jonathan Gould is a former Celtic goalkeeper. Gouldy will be remembered as the unsung hero who came from 3rd choice goalkeeper at Bradford to Celtic first choice stopper in the 1997/98 season when Celtic stopped Rangers doing 101AR and he only conceded 24 goals during that roller coaster campaign under Wim Jansen. 

He also won a treble with Martin O’Neill and a League Cup under Kenny Dalglish and Tommy Burns to add to his first League Cup he won in his first season and went to the World Cup with Scotland in an amazing career from Non-League Football to 60,000 at Celtic Park. 

He served under 5 managers at Celtic including John Barnes and was the goalkeeper during that infamous night against ICT and he knows a thing or two about our new manager Ange Postecoglou who he came against during his time coaching in Australia where he always came off second best against Ange’s invisible team.
