NBA teams league-wide held media day earlier this afternoon. For the Celtics, players such as Al Horford, Kyrie Irving, Gordon Hayward, and many others spoke with media members about the team's expectations heading into a new season along with other fun and interesting topics.

ESPN released it's latest installment in the top 100 players today. No. 50-31 were revealed and three new Celtics made the list.
It was also a sad day in Celtics Nation, as Marcus Smart's mother, Camellia Smart, has lost her battle with cancer and passed away late Monday.
The Boston Celtics and guard Jamal Crawford reportedly have mutual interest. Crawford last played for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Jabari Bird was arraigned at Brighton Municipal Court earlier on charges of assault, kidnapping and strangulation. He reportedly kept his girlfriend in his apartment against her will for four hours.
Bird's bail has been set at $50,000 and he is essentially on house arrest for the time being.
The Celtics released a statement, reading that NBA policy is that the league handles these situations in terms of punishment.

Kyrie Irving, along with James Harden and Kevin Durant, worked out in Miami with some of the Heat players and their trainer. Kyrie participated in his first 5-on-5, full-court action since March 11, when the Celtics shut him down for the year. If that wasn't enough, word is he looks "Amazing" on the court. According to Boston Police, Celtics Guard Jabari Bird was arrested Friday night after allegedly assaulting, strangling and kidnapping an unidentified person in a domestic incident. He is expected to appear in court on Monday where he is facing charges of assault and battery, strangulation, and kidnapping. Bird just signed a 2 year $3 million contract this offseason.

Former Celtics head coach Doc Rivers was in Boston yesterday co-hosting the ABCD Hoop Dreams Fundraiser at TD Garden. Rivers spoke on the current Celtics roster and how they compare to his '08 championship team. He also talked about the current disconnect between those players and former Boston Celtic Ray Allen.
