The latest news on restricted free agent Marcus Smart is coming in bunches. This morning A.Sherrod Blakely of NBC Sports Boston reported that the Sacremento Kings were getting ready to offer Smart a multi-year deal. We are now getting more news and even a picture from the Athletic of Smart his agent and Nets GM Sean Marks. The Boston Globe reported Smart has already met with two teams and has two more meetings set up for today.
The Celtics are playing some good basketball in summer league. Awaiting their seed in the tournament portion of play in the Las Vegas group, the Celtics closed strong in a dominant performance last night against the Charlotte Hornets. A very balanced effort saw seven players reach double-digits.
